A unique creation of nature just a stone's throw away
Kvetnicové Tarn is a tiny tarn sitting on the middle stage of the Velická Valley. For many years, it was just a periodic puddle and started losing significance. It even dried up in June 1958. Even in these years, time is not a sign of its periodicity. It is located above the Velický Waterfall at an altitude of 1,812 m. It is a peat pond; according to geographers, it is only a modest remnant of a large moraine lake.
